How Our Custom Apparel Manufacturing Process Works
Creating custom apparel shouldn’t be complicated. At B2B Wholesale, we guide you through each stage of the manufacturing process—from your initial idea and product specifications to sampling, bulk production, quality control, and final delivery.
Whether you’re developing sportswear, activewear, workwear, streetwear, team uniforms, or other custom clothing, our process is designed to give you clear communication and greater control over the finished product.
OUR PROCESS
From Your Idea to Finished Apparel
1. Tell Us What You Want to Make
Start by sending us your product requirements. You can provide a tech pack, reference images, sketches, existing samples, size charts, or simply explain your idea. Helpful information includes: Product type and design Estimated quantity Sizes and colors Preferred fabric or performance requirements Logo and branding details Target market or intended use Delivery destination If some details haven't been finalized yet, our team can discuss the available options with you.
2. Design & Product Development
We review your requirements to determine how the garment should be constructed and prepared for sampling. Depending on the product, development may include pattern making, measurements, construction details, fabric selection, trims, colors, stitching, and branding placement. Our goal is to establish a clear product specification before moving into production.
3. Fabric & Material Sourcing
The right material can significantly affect the fit, appearance, durability, and performance of a garment. We source fabrics and trims according to your product requirements. Depending on the garment, this may include cotton, polyester, nylon, elastane blends, fleece, French terry, performance fabrics, breathable materials, stretch fabrics, or other specialized textiles. Fabric weight, composition, stretch, texture, color, and intended use can all be considered during development.
4. Sample Development
Before bulk manufacturing, a sample can be produced so you can evaluate the product. The sample allows you to review important details such as fit, measurements, fabric, construction, stitching, colors, logo placement, and overall appearance. Samples are especially important when developing a new design or working with a manufacturer for the first time.
5. Sample Review & Approval
Once you receive your sample, review it carefully and provide feedback. If adjustments are required, we can discuss changes to the fit, measurements, materials, construction, branding, or other specifications before proceeding.
6. Bulk Production
After approval, your order moves into bulk manufacturing. Production follows the confirmed specifications for your garments, including the approved materials, sizing, colors, construction, decoration, labels, and packaging requirements. We support both growing brands and established businesses with production quantities based on the requirements of each product.
7. Branding & Finishing
Your private-label details are incorporated according to the approved specifications. Available customization can include embroidery, screen printing, heat transfer, sublimation, silicone or rubber logos, woven labels, neck labels, care labels, hangtags, and custom packaging. The appropriate decoration method depends on your garment, fabric, design, and desired finish.
8. Quality Control
Quality checks are performed during the manufacturing and finishing process to help ensure the finished garments follow the confirmed order specifications. Depending on the product, checks may include measurements, stitching, construction, decoration, labels, finishing, quantities, and packaging.
9. Packing & Worldwide Shipping
After production and final checks, your garments are prepared for shipment. We can coordinate international delivery for samples and bulk apparel orders to customers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East, and other international markets. Shipping options can be reviewed according to the order size, shipment weight, destination, budget, and required delivery timeframe.
